Would you be irritated if your team hired petrino as an analyst? As an LSU fan I would welcome him with open arms

Not really. He’s a good offensive coach, he’s just an a-hole. But that’s not a crime.

Yeah not really either, analyst fine. Think he will need to go to FCS first to find a head coaching gig if thats what he wants. He burned every bridge possible in the NFL so do not see that happening, otherwise NFL OC would be a good role for him.

Just my gut feeling but I think he is done coaching. He looked absolutely miserable all this season on the sideline. I think the passing of his father during the summer took a big toll on him

Petrino will end up on the west coast at some point, Mountain West program like Fresno, or whatnot

He may be an analyst, but reading some of the articles post his latest firing, you don't want him any where around football decisions. He absolutely despised recruiting and interactions with his team and coaches.

We can't get rid of Gus, I would accept Petrino as OC/QB coach in a heartbeat. If somebody like Gus and somebody like Petrino could make it work and mesh their systems, you would probably create an unstoppable offense.

I mean the guy coached a Heisman winner two years ago. He'd be a great analyst/QB coach.

Screen passes on 2nd down then a 2 yard cross route on 3rd and long. shite would be unstoppable.

Petrino's system is dated a frick. Who is still swapping left and right tackles to make stong and weak sides in 2018? With as many analyst that exist today, that is a tell.

Good coach, but he's the biggest douche in the game.

Although I'm surprised Nick hasn't hired him to analyze OU.

Matt Canada was an a-hole too. Look how far that got us.

Shows you the state of desperation we LSU fans are at.

With the amounts of money we generate and the in state talent level, this job should be a dream job for the best and brightest coaches.

We got a pirogue designer.

You really think Petrino's personality would mesh well with the football coach we have at LSU? It'd be worse than the rift he and Canada had.

As a position coach or consultant it wouldn’t bother me. As mentioned, he’s developed some great QBs. But I wouldn’t want him in a capacity to be making big program decisions.

He should get a shot at a lower tier Big 12 school, or as OC at a good program in bad need of an OC. How about Tennessee? I think Pruitt would prefer a more pro-style offense to go with a good defense he is building.
