This rumor appears to have some legs. Hope Auburn doesn't get him as it looks they're the only school that is interested. (other than USM)

Posters on USM boards are saying that he has reached out to USM and is interested in the job. Also saying that money isn't a issue, he just wants a shot at the FBS level.
