Sure it's been said before around here, but that guy can coach...He's gonna be a great SEC coach one day.

Word around Shreveport is that coaching staff will drink a town dry in six hours.

But yeah. Clark has maxed UAB out. He's done well.

I was going to post that I’m wondering how he hasn’t gotten hired away from UAB yet. Just beat a very solid BYU team. I think he’s waiting for the right opportunities to open up.

He's interviewed a few times with schools like tulane.

I think a lot of it has to do with connections within the coaching fraternity. He’s spent most of his time in the state of Alabama, and at either the HS level or smaller non-P5 jobs.

Not a lot of people at the P5 level know him or have worked with him.

That would be a lateral move or even possibly a step down for him. UAB’s program is in much better shape and I don’t think Tulane would pay him more than what he’s getting now

His best chance was getting the Auburn job last year. He apparently had too many conditions to take it (*as always with those situations, he was never officially offered.)

He's had some impressive accomplishments going through UAB's two cancelled seasons, but I think he is nearing the "he just doesn't want to move" narrative point where he just stops being considered.

JMHO.
