If he had a change of heart, who loses the most? LSU can still keep looking for a coach, but OU now has to back up the truck and pay a man who isn't really that popular tonight. They will also have to pay the coordinators more now. Do they deserve it?

It really does seem like he has achieved the most he could at OU. No amount of money is going to make him better.

LSU might look like they are the bride left at the alter, but they could still get a great hire.

LSU will continue to live on and thrive with or without LR, would have liked to see him here, but maybe it wasn't meant to be? Idk.

Not a LSU fan, just enjoying the action on the CCB tonight.

LSU. OK was going to be one and done anyway. We’re down to lower tier candidates if no Riley. I’m good with Aranda or Napier.

Both fanbases are melting.

I'll call it a draw.

I feel for yall BuddyBuckets1. LR could have made that statement anytime this week and cut down some but not all distractions. The way he said it tonight should have been done before your biggest game of the year.

LR has some serious lumps to take for all those distractions.

This is the reason this board needs tonight.

I was all in for Aranda until this week when I actually thought Riley would materialize. Not because I wanted Riley over Aranda, but because I had reconciled that that’s what was happening. Either way, I trust the process…

He has a lot of growing to do as a coach for sure but I guess he felt like he had to play hardball with the OU admin. Horrible timing. Thanks LSU, damn.

Oh well, this team wasn't very good anyway. A fitting cap to miserable 10-2 season (bowl game pending).

Amy coach can win a national championship at LSU. Just look at our last two coaches for proof.

Yeah I agree.

Staying at Oklahoma rather than making the move to LSU is just not a smart business decision and I’m not saying that just bc I’m an LSU fan. Oklahoma is a tier 1 program but prior to 2000. The SEC has had top down the best NFL talent in the last 20 years.

LSU will pay him probably around 100M over 8 to 10 years, plus blank checks for coordinators and coaches. Oklahoma will not give him 2M for a DC…. LSU will and tell him to hire the best.

LSU having no in state recruiting rivals, state of the art facilities, a rabid fan base, unlimited resources, blank checks for asst coaches and LSU constantly top 3 for players drafted NFL.

Like I said it’s just not a smart decision career wise and especially if Oklahoma moves to the SEC. With that said, I just can’t see how he doesn’t make the move if indeed he was offered by Woodward.
