Biggest disparity in Coach to Coach transitions.

What has been the biggest difference in talent and ability for LSU coaches taking over the reins? The one that stands out in my mind had to be Arnsparger to Archer. Archer was a nice guy(used to work in media in BR at the time) but could tell after talking to him he wasn't nearly as prepared or able as Bill. Any others over history in comparison?

Do you want someone to say Saban to Miles?
I'll look at it from a different angle... It's gotta be DiNardo to Saban.

Not at all. I'm Coach Miles' biggest fan. Love his attitude , drive, and manner. I think we stepped up a bit in the humanity and honor department with Les Miles as well. Dinardo to Saban would be a good one as well.

It was actually the Tuberville to Chizik thing that got me thinking about it.

Other than Archer and Hallman the hires haven't been that disastrous. Even Stovall was decent --- he left the cupboard stocked for Arnsparger. Arnsparger was not a recruiter so Stovall's recruiting paid dividends for him. I think that he would have tanked in the next couple of years. This is why he took the A.D. job at UF.

His wife BJ got more verbals than he did.
