Bielema is a good coach, but is it a bad fit?

Him taking this job has to be 100% about money. It seems odd for both parties involved. He's the opposite of what arky ran offensively when they were having success. Will he be able to get the big uglys to arky he needs to run smash mouth successfully. Bielema is a good coach but this is a definite wait and see hire.

Yes. There are plenty of big linemen and RBs to go around

I wouldn't work for free. Maybe it's just me?

He produced some legit online man talent at Wisconsin.

He's only getting a 700k raise so its definitely not about money to him specifically. Apparently he left more money on the table that was offered for his salary to be able put it in the pool for assistant coaches. I'm guessing Wisconsin was cheap in that arena.

His exit from Wisconsin is strange, but I could see it working out... his offensive style sorta reminds me of Nutt's O when he was having success at arkansas -- great OLs and outstanding RBs with big wideouts who can get verticle.
Plus he just won three straight B10 titles, one of which by blowing out Neb.

About 700k raise over what he was making at Wisconsin.

You know what I mean, normally with all things being equal and I'm being generous saying Arky is equal to whisky it usually means the pay raise is more significant that what he got or him and the AD weren't getting along.

Giant corn fed white boys fall out of trees in the Midwest. Also it takes 3 years for these guys to develop because most are not naturally gifted athletes, that's why (same as Nebraska ) most of the oline starters are upperclassmen. It will take time.
