Bertman: "Les Miles Will Stay Put"

The timing is such, I don’t think if Michigan came up with the $4 million plus the ($1.25 million) buyout he has, I don’t think the timing is right for Les Miles. “He has a lot of morality, you don’t find it in many people, let alone many coaches. He won’t try to make more money by pretending that he wants to go to Michigan. That’s extraordinarily rare. I was an AD for a long time. I tend to agree, Miles will put all the things in front of him effected and see that it is in his families best interest to stay put. He will not uproot his kids for the simple fact that he wants to. It isn't in him. If he does leave it would be because he truly believes it in the best interest of his family as a whole. Can't see it.

lets hope we don't eat as much turkey thanksgiving after next and not freeze to death in the brutal 54 degree arkansas weather.

I think he should keep his opinion to himself. He's in a position of influence, you and I are not. Let Alleva/Miles/Michigan figure this out. This is Alleva's job, let him do it without unneccesary distractions. He has enough of them as it is.
Bertman giving his opinion, is like Lloyd Carr giving his opinion. Their time has come and gone.

Much of the Rant thinks Skip Bertman is the worst AD of all time and think he was an idiot for signing Miles to his current contract.
So anything from the Skipper is going to be ridiculed.
But even I think Skip is just playing along with the official LSU line. Skip had to give the answers he did because he's not going to do anything to undermine the difficult job Alleva has in front of him.
They hope Miles stays because they have no effin clue what coach they could land that would be as good or better and deep down they know Miles is as good as gone.
So anything from the Skipper is going to be ridiculed.
