Cool, have fun going through this year after year if he does stay. You’re Ole Miss, a boutique school in the armpit of America. If Lane even sniffs a NC, there will be bigger schools with more money and better resources beating down his door. He’ll probably have interest from the NFL at some point too. So enjoy dreaming about your dynasty with Lane because that’s all it will ever be.

Oh you forgot the next part of that post LOL

Make of that what you will. This all seems to be coming to a head. The meeting between Keith Carter and Kiffin tomorrow looms large. It’s Ole Miss or LSU right now, IMO. There's still absolutely a chance he still ends up at LSU. But I’m still sticking with my revised predictions from last night: Kiffin ends up staying at Ole Miss, but fully recognize I could be absolutely wrong.

This guy posts on the Coaching Changes board it sounds like but you're boasting the first part?

Dude, BK was in the damn living room of a ND recruit when he took the LSU job.

Was it Tubberville that left the table at a recruiting dinner when he took the Auburn job?

But I’m still sticking with my revised predictions from last night: Kiffin ends up staying at Ole Miss, but fully recognize I could be absolutely wrong. Y’all want to know what we hear. That’s something I've heard, and who it came from made me compelled to make this post. We’ll see what happens! Bottom line, and we’ve been consistent: Lane Kiffin ain’t coaching Ole Miss in the playoffs if he’s leaving and he knows it. ETA: I wrote some stuff lower in the thread that people might be interested in. I've included those posts below: 1. It’s Ole Miss or LSU and either outcome wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest but a staffer did say that so I thought it notable to share 2. Let me make something clear. I believe Lane Kiffin wants/wanted to leave Ole Miss. However, the problems with the calendar, and his ability to not look like an a$$hole on his way out, is going to be the primary reason he stays, if he does. Ole Miss winning more than he expected derailed his plan. We could very well find out tomorrow he’s headed to LSU. Some people I know and respect actually believe that to be the outcome tomorrow. But the staff piece was a nugget I felt necessary to share and falls in line with why I believe he’s staying — Ole Miss has just kept on winning, those dang little Rebels 3. LSU is throwing everything at Kiffin, by the way. This is still all very much in the air. Florida's disappeared. If Lane left for LSU tomorrow I believe Jon Sumrall would be the hire before the weekend's out.

You forgot to include the part where he says people in Ole Miss’s own football building think he’s leaving for LSU

This made me laugh. I mean do they think this would factor into Kiffins decision at all? Do they not know anything about their coach ?

For the record BK accepted the LSU job while on a ND recruiting visit. So that’s no biggy.

And when Lincoln Riley took the USC job, at least one of his assistants was still employed by OU, but was recruiting for USC before Riley brought him to his USC staff.

Lane Kiffin addressed the assistants this morning and talked about how they’re building a dynasty here

Interesting verbiage. “They’re” not “we’re”…… hmmm

You realize this year is the ceiling for any coach at OM, right?

I would think getting to the playoffs to compete for a NC is the ceiling for every team.
