I think a lot of us -- not just Bama, but other fanbases in the SEC -- have a whole lot of animosity toward the University of Texas.

I agree. I can't wait for Texas to throw that ungodly contract out there and Nick to tell them that he's happy where he is at and no amount would get him to leave. They should have kept the coach they had. Then how does Texas tell the next coach they aren't worth the money Saban is?

Its funny. On here Im reading that it doesn't bother Bama fans.
I live in Atlanta. My good friend is a die hard Bama fan and I worl with two die hard bama fans. Its written all over them. They act like they dont care, but as soon as I say something about it its like a switch goes off and they get so defensive so quick. Its very funny to me:)

Consider that we've basically been being told that "he gone," for almost seven whole years. It gets kinda tiresome after a while.

Saban isn't doing it. He's said multiple times he's isn't going any where.

Shows like Finebaum, Cowherd, etc and message boards that need drama to keep people coming back during a very boring time of the year are the ones "doing" this.

This is interesting. How? I guess popular singers and bands shouldn't be well paid regardless of the crowds they draw or the amount of money they generate, even though no one forces anyone to pay them. After all, it's just entertainment.

About right?

AU had no problem shelling out Gus more to keep him happy. Remember your words when and if Gus keeps AU competitive.

IF Saban goes gumps will melt down

IF Saban stays gumps will know they have been played for more money

This is the price you pay for having Saban as your coach.

I am sure most gumps think it is worth it.

I don't think he's going anywhere but

Do you honestly believe this?

Um, no.

Very easily, I would imagine. Do you anticipate Alabama paying its next coach the same salary he'll end up with at Alabama - probably in the $8 million/year range - if he doesn't have the accomplishments to warrant that?

See what Saban is doing to LSU fans.

Maybe if you hope and pray just a little harder!

I will say, its been fun watching the LSU fans go full retard over this.
Yeah, that hasn't been universally true at all on this board. The hypersensitivity has been something to behold. If there's one thing Alabama fans are known for, it's keeping everything in perspective.

I'm cool with whatever. To be honest, the longer he keeps this shirt up, the longer I get to have fun on this board. I don't see it being nearly as enjoyable when this is over. Unless of course someone comes courting Leslie.
