Blakeny was my uncles positional coach and recruiter at auburn. He has some good stories. He is not as bad as portrayed but keep it down home cuz it not coming to auburn, ever.

As an Alabama fan, I would consider Larry Blakeney an excellent hire for Auburn. That should tell you how stupid the idea is.

He's a good coach, and would probably do well there.
Unfortunately for Auburn, the NCAA permanently disassociated him from the university. It's kind of funny how no Auburn fans seem to have ever read the penalties the NCAA handed down then.
They still think Pat Dye actually resigned too.

Leave it up to an alabama fan to know the detail of an auburn investigation from 20 years ago...
Larry Blakeny is not permanently disassociated, or whatever... the university honored him at a football game just this past season.
