What is Gus doing? He had a decent year at A State but he has to up his game. This is not the time to bring your BBQ buddies along for the ride.

He's coached in the SEC before, don't care who Gus hires on offense tbh.

He's coached at Moo State before and put several o-line in the league throught his career. I'm ok with the hire given the circumstances.

Freeze hired some of his guys from Arkansas State, I believe. That seems to be working. And our offensive hires don't really matter. Gus runs the show. The defensive hires are what I'm curious about

Really?

I understand that Gus will be calling the plays.

BUT, he can't develop Wrs, O-linemen, TEs, and RBs by himself.

You still need top position coaches.

Gus calls the plays but Gus can't go out and do all the recruiting, player development in practice, etc. It still matters.

STFU. Name all the OL coaches at other sec schools without looking it up??? This is just a dumb flame. Its an OL coach get real if the guy is a great coach that's all that matters. He's not the RC. It was just an easy flame for you because he was at Arky State with Gus.

Who cares if you can or can't name them?

They're still very important

Arkansas State guys wanted this guy looked at as head coach and their offensive line looked very well coached from what I can see.

I like the hire.

Uh it matters because you dont know what the frick you are talking about and wouldn't know what a solid OL coach is.

How is this guy that bad of a coach?? He cant be around this long if he's terrible. He's not . He's been at some shitty to mediocre schools where its hard to recruit at. Can't help that. IB4 because no one wanted him.

I cannot believe I am reading some AU fans saying it doesn't matter who the OL coach is. That is possibly the biggest position of development on offense outside of QB. Holy shite. Don't be fricking stupid fellas. OL coach is greatly important.
