I feel it's usually the coach will tell the school, the school will release a statement, and a press conference happens a day or two later?

Which is exactly why it needs to end today. The talking heads are turning this into a hollywood production and its only hampering the decision-making.
This should be as simple as it is for literally every other coach , and the theatrics should be held AFTER.

There isn’t a contract. There is an offer. Leaks he was referring to were the agreement to him becoming the next HC.
