As much as I like Riley, it would be really stupid to dish out that kind of money on a guy who hasn't proven that he can win a national championship and hasn't proven that he can field a team with a competent defense on a regular basis.
But if it came to it, OU would definitely match. OU has the best AD in college sports.

But but that was choice 1 and by far the best Coach in all of college baseball. Think how hard it is to name 5 better coaches

I'm guessing ultimately he'll ask OU for a counter offer and OU will match, but we have VERY reputable sources that Riley is Woodward's number one, that he's offering $10-$12 million, and he's going to force Riley to say no. Tigerbaitlawyer has been here for a long time and we know that they're who they claim to be. Plus Woodward is a big spender, so the most surprising part is that apparently Riley's agent is returning his calls.

Can you tell me why? LSU is a better job. Easier recruiting with a much better talent rich state, and we currently have an AD that will give him whatever resources he needs. Include the fact that he has no ties to OU.
My only concern is that his dogs are named Boomer and Sooner, and I'm being dead serious.

Its not that outlandish when you think about who our AD is and his past hires. Its in line with how he operates.

Plus you don't make Riley the highest paid coach in CFB.. for not winning a playoff game.
SEC and Big 12 are worlds apart...OU gets exposed every time...

Johnson only took Arizona to the CWS twice in his 5 years. One of those was to the finals. He’s widely considered one of the best recruiters and hitting coaches in the country.
