But......money talks so pony up is what I heard. Also facial expressions and tone seems like he wants it.

Mack Rhoades said he and Dave Aranda had a conversation this weekend after the LSU news broke. Rhoades said Aranda reiterated he's a great fit at Baylor and wants to stay at Baylor. "He was very forthright in saying that and I appreciate that.” @SicEm365Radio

This was from 5 days ago…Mack Rhoades is Baylor AD. Dave doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy to say those things lightly.

If he was trying to go for a denial of interest in the LSU job that was about the worst denial I’ve ever seen

He might as well have said “I want the LSU job, I came to Baylor to use as a stepping stone and this is my chance”

So did he ever say “no, I’m not interested” or just talk about how great the people of Baylor are? Hmmmm

I don't think so either, but if it's an offer and an opportunity that Dave can't pass up, Rhoades should understand how this business works.

Baylor vs LSU....not a fair fight.

If I’m being real,

To me Aranda in that press conference said some telling things. He talked about his friends being at both schools. Talked about getting fired . And how Baylor is more than just football, possibly implying that he likes having job security. Normally, I wouldn’t put much into that, but I feel like aranda has a lot of integrity. Also hard to see him leaving after only two seasons.

But I will say, he did not say he wouldn’t leave.

Right I appreciate the opportunity is what I heard, LSU comes knocking he will come home. He knows what the pinnacle of LSU football can become.

He also made a comment about outside influences, which LSU has way too many.

Especially with what’s about to happen to the B12. It’s going to be somewhere between a big paycut in TV money after UT and OU make the move and complete collapse of the conference and becoming a G5 program, because Baylor isn’t one of the few remaining teams with a prayer of moving up.
