Do we, though? I mean I'm holding out hope that we get someone else but I don't have a ton of faith in any of this process

Yeah well I thought it wasn't going to be Orgeron either but you see how that worked out. They are going to pay Aranda a lot as coordinator. Have to get that discount somewhere.

Exactly.

It's been reported through the beginning that he's happy as a TE coach and he's too old to be an OC. He doesn't want the job.

But sorry. Didn't mean to bring information that's been laid out already to this scenario. The only thing allowed here are backhanded comments.

I guess that settles it. Since one thing happened that you didn't want to happen, happened.....the means everything else is going to fall the same way.

I've always heard this but never actual seen a link or anything. I'm not saying you're wrong, but do you really think he'd turn down a permanent promotion and (presumably) a raise to run the offense at his alma mater?

No reason to get pissy.

When the guy is 117 years old and has flat out said he doesn't want the job, yes. I do.

He's 58. Can you link me something saying he absolutely doesn't want the LSU OC job? Again, not saying it didn't happen (don't get pissy). Also that's pretty easy to say when you don't have the numbers put in front of you. Who's to say his tone wouldn't change when the rubber meets the road?

Well I tell you what if Coach O keeps Steve as his OC then he flat out lied to everyone. He said he would go out and get the best OC in the country and if he thinks Steve is the best where in for a long ride fellows

Funny...I heard this exact same phrase just weeks ago only with Orgeron's name instead of Ensminger's name.

Just because it's predictable doesn't mean it's any less valid. We replaced our all time most successful coach with a DL coach. Who says we won't replace our OC with our TE coach who has previously been an OC elsewhere? That's actually far more plausible

Hey man I'm not saying its definitely Ensminger. You're the only one speaking in absolutes here.

This makes it hard to take anything you say in this thread seriously. You just post sarcastic and hyperbolic responses and tell us we are dumb for not getting hopes up.

Aside from this year at Pitt, do you really think this guy deserves a sniff? When hiring someone, you have to be able to throw out one successful season and still have valid reasons to hire someone.

Please make that case. I wish to learn.
