O won a Natty, did more commercials, everyone was "so happy for a guy like him", his national profile on ESPN as this character celebrity coach shot way up. He got arrogant and loose and stopped pretending to not be a complete meat-head around certain company

The search likely started after the fishing camp incident.

Woodward has probably been looking for an opening to bring HIS guy in since he’s been here, anyway. That was it.

Im not seeing how it's different than any other year. You don't hire from a pool of available coaches. You just hire from a pool of coaches.

That’s extremely short sighted. Timing matters just as much as anything else when it comes to hiring a coach. It took perfect timing for Bama to get Saban, A&M to get Fisher, etc.

Jimbo Fisher’s extension was made public on 8/31, so I’d say the search began before that.

Kind of like O’s comment on air of making someone disappear in the swamp at the fishing camp. Hahaha! That guy is a hoot !

nope.

A head coach should never engage like that with an opposing fan. It's a classless move by O, and proves he's not in control of his emotions.

AD's always, or should always have, a short list of coaches that fit what he is looking for just in case...

SW pulled his list during the 2020 season then started allowing CEO to hang himself with all the rope he provided him...
