In my mind, it's a foregone conclusion that Les is leaving after tonight
I've been critical of Les in the past, I've also been a Miles Maniac. I'm feeling kinda weird about this...I think new blood will be beneficial, but an insanely successful coach is still leaving.
If this is indeed his swan song, here's to you Les, best of luck in Ann Arbor and thanks,

I felt that way 3 years ago. Just keep hoping.

Yes, but I'm on awesome painkillers.

Eh, if he leaves it will suck. But he's just doing what he thinks is best for him. I would wish him the best and thank him for everything he's done for LSU.
Whoever would follow Miles would have some huge shoes to fill, following arguably the two greatest coaches in LSU history.

I just don't see it happening DBG, there really hasn't been much significant smoke. Then again last time I thought it was a lock he was gone.
but most around the program feel pretty confident he's staying.....but many last time said he was gone.
who knows....enjoy this last game before the long, boring, shitty, offseason takes over

IMO it's just wishful thinking. Unless UM is willing to spend more money than they have in the past I can't see Les leaving LSU

Mood changed about 3 hrs ago. Looks like he's gone.
But the players are amped for the game tonight from what I heard

I just hope I'm watching crowton's last game...I'll roll with whatever else happens.

Crowton is gone either way.

maybe. I just don't see him jumping into that mess at UM unless he's certain everyone there is 100% backing him......and I don't think that's happening.

Because a UM plane arrived in BR? Wow- overreact much? You're fulfilling every Rant stereotype right now.

I'm scared to get my hopes up, but I'm ready to throw a hell of a going away party!!!

I love how people want Miles to leave.

quote:I think it's a mistake for him to leave. He's going to be walking into a very different situation than the one he found when he came to Baton Rouge. He's got an uphill climb with that program and the shape it's in, and I fear in a few years he might find himself wishing he'd stayed in Baton Rouge.
