on ESPN this morning that Spurrier was at Duke consulting on their coaching search? I know he has past ties there, but do you think that says anything about his position at SC and the possibility of a change (rumored on this board)? Just looking for your thoughts. Thanks.

I think he still has relationships with the people in charge at Duke and is offering requested assitance. They are not a threat to his current program. You can over-think it if you like.

Dude makes his first preseason #1 vote Duke every year. He said he will always hold a special place for them since they gave him a shot.

He votes Duke #25 preseason every year.
There's not any real worry in Gamecock Country about Spurrier leaving. He has put the wheels in motion to fix and change a lot things that needed fixin' and changin'. Plus, he's spearheading our facilities upgrades and so on. I'd be surprised if he's going anywhere. I think he's set on getting us going in the right direction and won't leave until he does or gets fired trying.
