That doesn't mean he "bottomed" out, the expectations are out of control. Plenty of school recruit as well. The difference in the top 10 classes is minimal at best.

Yes I said it was time for him to go that after the 11 NC he changed as a coach. But to make up stories that he became horrible is just making shite up. He was still serviceable and won. He didn't win pretty and LSU was no longer a championship team but he won.

Now O has to do more than win, he has to produce a championship, that is why we got rid of Les because he wasn't that guy anymore. If you think he "sucked" then that is just personal disdain for him. He was still an 8-10 win guy, but not what LSU administration or fans wanted.

Les didn't bottom out, unfortunately he just went in circles.

the highest paid staff..

LSU had the highest paid coordinators, not entire staff.

People need to stop with that made up bullshite.

Plus, name the other sec teams playing in the play offs? If you can't beat bama, you aren't going anywhere. Only a hand full of teams play them every year, and it's an automatic loss for those teams.

I can name other SEC teams that have played in much better bowl games over the last 5 years. The head coach and coordinators were over paid for their "serviceable" production.

There is a reason that no real decision makers were even remotely interested. Several weak candidates were hired over Les Miles this go around.

Why do you believe he hasn't landed another job? Do you believe he will get another power 5 job next year?

Why does it matter?

The most attractive opening were Texas and LSU and both places had their sights on other coaches even before last season.
I think Les will get back into coaching eventually but he is not in any rush and yes I know he said he wants to coach.
Saying you want to coach does not mean you will jump at the first job offered, you would interview and look for a job that fits for you, especially if your being paid well to do so.

LSU fans seem to want to criticize him, as if him not being hired some how validates their opinion of him. Truth is just because he interviewed and just because someone in the media says he is interested doesn't mean squat. I think he will continue to interview and will accept a job he feels is best for him and his family, not a job just so he can have a job.

People need to accept the fact that Les is done coaching unless he takes a job at a very lower tier Division 1 school. Sunshine pumpers need to realize that as time and jobs pass him by that there is a reason no one wants to hire him. He did well while he was here but his stubbornness, arguably arrogance, was the reason his legacy here will be tarnished. Miles the man and developer of young men into adults was one of a kind but Miles the developer of talent and coaching has been long gone. Everyone needs to accept the fact that LSU WILL pay the rest of his buyout.

After his buyout is paid, maybe, just maybe then can we stop talking about him in present tense and view him in the positive past tense that he deserves in the future.

I don't think Miles has any "interest" in the NFL.

At 63, he is probably content with $133,000 a month for 6 yrs from LSU.

Who in the LSU administration thought that was a good deal for LSU?
