you wish ensminger, being a former LSU QB, would be coaching up the QB's more on the sidelines but he has 10 TE's to manage

id rather see Ed O in bricks role. However to bricks credit our terrible dline actually showed life late in the year.
BDP should be fired again because he managed to destroy special teams. Id like to see Ensminger let go and bring in someone to help cam with qb development. Henry takes over wr and TE.
IMO we need some kind of shake up in some of our assistants.

Seriously though Peveto should take a hike as well as Esminger.
These two guys are dead weight at recruiting.
LSU needs guys burning the midnight oil.
Waiting once every two to three years when La has enormous talent to sway them to stay home will not get us any championships.
LSU needs recruiters that's gonna put up top 5 classes year in and year out.
Esminger and BDP are not gonna get you that. That's two wasted recruiters right there.
Not to mention they are coaching retreads that need to be at much lesser programs as asst coaches.

They are nice guys. Should be able to recruit. Are they productive as coaches?? I do believe it takes a winning attitude to do both. Has the fire gone out of some of our coaches?? Has it just become a job??? I just wonder if they are enjoying the gravy train that LSU provides. Not close to the staff...anymore. Is it really more about BBQ? Insiders....tell us.

Ensminger is the reason LSU has the Teuhema's, and BDP is the reason LSU has a commitment from Feleipe Franks.

This is the best coaching staff ever! We are right on track. Les Miles is the best thing to EVER happen to LSU. To even discuss a coaching change or criticize our staff makes you "not a real fan".
Seriously though, Peveto needs to go. I have no clue why or how he keeps getting hired at LSU. Also, if Miles left, I wouldn't loose sleep about it.

Why do people want Brick gone so much? We've had one not great year with the DL, and that was 2013. That was also because of how lazy Freak was. We are looking to land a bunch of top talent next year plus we have guys like Teuhema, Clark, Bower, Lacouture, Valentine, Bain, and Godchaux for the next two years.
However I do think doing something with the TE coach to be a good idea. Henry can work on catching and Grimes, blocking.

Did you forget about the current year?
I agree Brick shouldn't be gone, he's had a lot of attrition to deal with but we have been bad the past couples of years on the line.

Why? In 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 our DL has been ridiculously good. Praised by coaches and the media alike. Add in the dramatic change they went through during this season, plus the fact that the DTs will be here another two years, and we are set. No need to fix something that isn't broken. Work on the real problems like special teams going to a complete mess in one year's time, and a TE coach that is pretty useless.

LSU has bigger problems than Steve Ensminger and Bradley Dale Peveto.
I'm not going to go into great detail, because it's apparent the offensive philosophy is the main problem.
In 2013, LSU finished sixth in the conference -- on that offense, one year later, was a starting NFL quarterback, two starting NFL running backs, two wide receivers who combined for four TDs in Week 12, and likely a first round pick at LT.
All that talent and it finished sixth in the conference in total offense.
But people want to fire the tight end and special teams coaches.

Yeah the year where we went from 96 in run defense to 36th in a matter of 6 weeks? It's called youth. We lost our entire starting DL in 2012 plus a backup DE, then lost the two DTs directly behind them the very next year. Out of all six of those players, only one was a senior. So for what he has done, I commend him greatly.
Look what happened to South Carolina after losing Quarles, Sutton, and Clowney.

I would have though somebody like you had better sense than that. Not only was it the most prolific offense in LSU history....No, wait, you know what? I'm going to just post this nugget that jaxTiger10 dug up that we've been trying go cram into people's heads.

Everyone still thinks the DL from last year stunk. It was the MLB folks! You heard the same shite this year up until Beckwith took over the starting MLB and you have not heard a complaint since... Welter was starting MLB all last year. AJ and EF are both playin in the League so they must not have been that bad after all, huh.
and you are exactly correct on the offensive stats. there is an old saying that "figures lie and Liars figure" some people want to drown in their own misery and just drum up the ones they think make us or CLM look bad.

Anthony Johnson wasn't good at all last year. He was a offsides machine. The more important thing is getting rid of BDP. Les shouldn't have tried to sneak his friend back.

I agree the team got better but wouldn't you agree that our DL is our weakest unit on defense?
We create almost Zero pressure without blitzes and have had hardly any sacks the last two years.
I think our sack leader on the DL has 3 sacks when it's usually 7+
We are 13th in sacks this year out of 14 sec teams.
Imagine how good the secondary would be if we could actually get pressure on QBs? We are already top 5.
