I don't know if you remember this but one of the biggest donors, Red McCombs, went on record saying Charlie would be a good DC, but not a HC, and that resonated with some of the older BMDs that Mack sucked off during his tenure. Then there was also the fact that they wouldn't pony up the cash for a good OC, which in turn led to being stuck with Shawn Watson for 2 years.

Then there's all the shite that's come out the past couple of days with this abortion of an OC search due to contract negotiations or some stupid bullshite like that. Some people have wanted him out since day one and before sending the whole gang to Tulsa, it was looking like the admin was doing what they could to frick Charlie over so they can hire someone else that they like better. Don't underestimate the frickwits who donate to UT

man, you sure have the wrong idea about Texas. maybe you should review their history. they were a powerhouse when Darryl Royal was there and that's about it. ok, mac had some teams that excelled. but tejas has wandered in the wilderness as much or more than most top programs.

every damn team in the south, southeast and mid west recruits the hell out of the state not to mention the number of instate schools. it takes the exact same attributes to be successful there as anywhere else.

All-time record 886–349–33 (.712) No. 3 overall
Postseason bowl record 27–24–2 (.528)
4 national championships
32 conference championships
Only 12 losing seasons in 123 years of playing football (including the past two years)

Yeah, that's just horrible right there.

Comparatively, Texas A&M has had 36 losing seasons in a similar time span (about 30 percent of the time), but they have "football tradition," y'all.

Sure...

In the last 40 years, the Horns have exactly 1 NC. So, basically; with all these resources, recruiting advantages and overall superiority to mere mortals that we keep hearing about from Texas people they are equivalent to Climpson, GaTech and BYU. Hook 'Em.

61 wins for Texas vs. 44 Oklahoma sure is a lot closer than

76 wins for Texas vs. 37 wins for A&M

That's for sure

We won't even bring up the record against Arkansas.

It couldn't be because it's a one year job when Charlie is gone next year.
