I can still remember his halftime interview that game, when he was arguing with the sideline reporter about OU having the number 1 defense when the lady mentioned LSU having the top defense.

I love these non-denying denials that keep coming out of OU. Lincoln's response earlier this week & now this from Bob.

Asked if he or his representatives had been in touch with LSU, Riley said, "I coach at the University of Oklahoma. You know how I feel about this place and this program. We've all been down this road many times before. You guys know where I stand and that hasn't changed."

Not saying its Riley But i don't think Stoops is in his circle of trust if he is choosing to leave.

I mean Stoops hand picked him to take his place, so he most likely would be pretty pissed if Riley let him know that he is leaving right now.

hope you are correct chick, but isnt/wasnt Stoops kind of Rileys mentor to some degree?

i wouldve thought he would leave Riley an easy out in a way. unless of course he really doesnt know anything, which i also find hard to believe.

Bob Stoops knows how the game is played. Lincoln could just stop rumors by saying he’s staying in Oklahoma no matter what liars in media report. But Lincoln wants a huge raise and more job security even thigh Aranda has kicked his butt and knocked him out of playoffs.

Bob Stoops didn't say that Lincoln is staying at OU...he just said that Lincoln isn't interviewing for the job and he certainly isn't going to Baton Rouge during the season. Meaning that if LSU wants Riley, there won't be an interview...there will simply be an offer he takes or rejects.

The very first question was about Riley ending up at LSU. Stoops said adamantly he didn't see that happening. The interview stuff came later.

Yes, he acted so immature correcting her, "number 1 SCORING defense; we've got the number 1 total defense." I'll never forget it - so childish.
