He did replace his 2 friends, Malveto, last year! Y won't he do it this year?

I am a Miles homer, and I truly believe (hope)GC is replaced. Ever since the Florida game, CM has thrown GC under the bus, and I really feel there is a disconnect between the two on offensive play calls. To his detriment, CM lets his coaches coach but I feel GC is gone.

Crowton will not be back. If Angelos and Lovie stay in chicago, he will go there to coach the QB. don't know otherwise. This could open for Jad or Gonzo to move into the OC.

7Moves, are you joking or serious? I hope GC does go to Chicago to be the QB coach. Miles just might be waiting for GC to find a job before he cans him. Firing GC would cost the program money, but letting him go would allow him to leave in good grace plus no buyout.

We aren't, unless it's forced by Aleva and the big money. Miles has already drawn his line in the sand, his loyalty to friends/coaches supersedes his judgment to do what's best for his team.

Miles was also "buddies" with Mallory and Peveto

If Crowton comes back, I am seriously lowering my expectations for next year, and will go on record as saying Miles tunure at LSU will end after next season if he doesn't' find the right OC for next year.

I don't know. Tubberville tried this.

what? tubberville was talked into (or coerced) hiring franklin because their offense sucked the year before and the almighty spread was the way to go. he ended up with a pile of shite and fired him during the season, something you don't see very often. he knew franklin was a mistake not long after the hire and did the right thing by shite canning him.

I don't know what to expect out of Les Miles and the coaching staff at this point. I think Miles is a good guy and could be considered a good coach if he didn't seem to be stubborn to a fault. If LSU continues to play the style of offense they have played for the last two years we will have a worse record next year. I don't think it matters who the QB is. I believe Jordan Jefferson has a ton of raw talent that is being allowed to go undeveloped. That is the coaching staff at LSU's fault. If he can't carry the load, who then are we working in as a replacement? Are we going to watch JJ start the next two years as Miles/Crowton hope that he develops? Will JJ start even if he is not the best QB because he is a senior?

I have been a fan of LSU since I became aware of them as a toddler in the 1970's. Never have I been so frustrated with LSU football. I miss the swagger of the Saban years. I miss having a coach that showed some form of emotion. I miss having a coach that would have his players come out after halftime ready to play instead of playing the third quarter flat almost every game this season.

JJ will be Junior...that means he should have a big year

I agree with you on every point except this.

I don't think JJ has what it takes to play at this level.

Does LSU have an offensive style, or identity? I haven't seen one the past two seasons.

JJ has improved with every game he has played IMO

Not sure what player you are watching, but it isn't happening...
Not just blaming him either, he needs a qb coach... but, you can look all over the country and find QBs that have progressed and play better than he does.... his and coaches fault...

Each day that passes solidies Crowton. You're only going to hear if he is canned. No need for Les to answer critics and say "Crowton is staying".

you darn right I don't like the answer.

Just like last year, I didn't like the talk of the Paveto project coming back again...which it didn't

Miles took his time, but got it right

Lets hope he does it again..

I think the money folks are helping Les make good choices when it's clear things aren't working out.

I heard that the Frank Wilson hire came from the board, not Les..but Les went along with it..
