USC will not be making a change. As much as it pains me to say, Helton gets a second year. SC has looked a lot better since the QB change.

Ole Miss-release of Freeze may not happen until well after January but coaches generally do not survive the severity of sanctions that are headed their way

Oregon is going to keep Helfrich for at least another year. Last year they gave him a $17.5 Million extension. He has a about 14 million buyout right now. I know they have Nike money but that is still a shite load of coin. Your talking over $20 million to get rid of the existing staff and bring in a new one.

They aren't buying him out easier to wait a year and throw big money at the next big thing

Zero chance AU is open. The only L's so far are to top 10 teams. Outside of those, the program itself is actually in great health. Herman is going to UT, so outside of him, there really isn't anyone who would be an upgrade to Gus. Chizik ran a dysfunctional program, and I don't want to chance that mistake again.

Same class as LSU job. Oregon and Auburn are not. Oregon was good here and there with the old AD. Wasn't a great job till Chip Kelly got there. Auburn will have to fight Saban so who is going to want to go there.

Auburn has played for two titles since Saban has been at Bama, and he doesn't really effect our recruiting. He has had a more negitave effect on LSU, their recruiting, and title runs than us.
