Agents are talking, NOT the coaches.

No current coach wants to get fired with cause saying he's interested in the job at LSU. He will let his agent speak to Woodward for him and then said coach will publicly state I've spoken to no one regarding the LSU job.

Announcing the O "separation" mid-season and then having him finish the season is pretty weird unless LSU was freeing itself to speak to candidates. So the obvious question becomes what candidates are currently free to speak to LSU?

Only those out of coaching. As in Bob Stoops or Chris Petersen.
Any currently employed coach will never personally speak to another schools AD, he risks being fired with cause, he will let his agent to all the talking then relay any messages.

And any competent AD knows that nothing the agent says means a damn thing until he hears it from the candidate's mouth. Sexton is a master at creating bidding wars out of thin air, too.
Maybe Petersen is wishful thinking on my part but I'm seeing the weird mid-season half-firing as a strong indicator that Woodward is speaking to someone right now. And not an agent, he's speaking to an actual human.
