After really looking into PJ Fleck..

I've come away very impressed. He has totally built that program from the ground up. Having said that, there's something about him that makes me feel better about the prospect of hiring Coach O.( Just for the record, I still think he needs to win out the remainder of the schedule) Like maybe O wouldn't be a terrible hire. O is doing a lot of things here that Fleck has done there.
I know. Ole Miss. It's a huge blemish on the guy's resume. Though, If you look into how Fleck has done things up there, it'll remind you of what Coach O is doing now. It's almost like Coach has taken Fleck 101. I know that folks say that's it's just interim and the like and he's just letting the coordinators do their jobs, but he's leading all of this. He is managing all of this, and if this were a new coach doing what O is doing and getting the results that he is getting, we'd all be thinking that we have the next big thing.
Anyway, I'm not saying that we should hire him. I'm just saying that maybe the sun and the moon may not crash down to Earth if that were to happen. I'm now going to be a little more open-minded about it all. Earlier in the week a part of me wanted LSU to lose, so O wouldn't get the job. No more. I want to win every mfn game left on the schedule. I realized that it's totally ridiculous not to enjoy my Tigers winning. And there's the key. If he does get the job, it will be because He's done something really special.
Everything after the season will take of itself.
My new list reads
Fisher
Fleck
Herman
O 4-0
You go down the list. The first 3 turn us down, then it's O time. Sorry for rambling.

I agree. I continue to believe the fit is what's important.

The most impressive thing is his view of success. It's harder to succeed when you are on top, complacency wants to set in. You can let it.
In simple terms, they guy recognizes the human nature and will not give into it. (he's driven to succeed)
There aren't many with this mindset/drive, LSU would be fortunate to have this type of talent running the program again.

I'm starting to come around to Fleck in a big way and don't think it would be over his head. Also starting to like Fischer more, I wasn't in the Fischer camp but could see him doing good things at LSU as well. Herman I wonder about, I was big into him but now not so sure he is the home run hire I thought he would be. Still like his up side and think he could do great things with LSU talent though. and a 7-0 coach O would be hard not to be happy with hiring.
I suddenly feel pretty optimistic about our coaching prospects and would be immensely happy with any of the 4. Perhaps it's the celexa (20mg/day)kicking in. I have been on it for 2 weeks now.

No way Fleck would turn down LSU.

I heard him on the radio this morning talking with Mel and Dari and came away very impressed. After they were done they discussed where they think he will land once the season is done and they mentioned possibly Oregon, or UT but no mention of LSU.
