I have a feeling that someone in the athletic department, or possibly on the Board of Trustees (I would think either Bobby Lowder or Jimmy Rane) has become fascinated with the spread so I would figure they will look for someone that runs a spread offense of some form or another.
The rumor after Borges was axed last year was that Tubs was given a list of approved OC candidates for him to choose from, and he chose Franklin, which leads me to believe there is a hand behind the curtain somewhere pointing in that direction.
