If Petersen passes on TAM money and Tejas talent to an SEC gig, then he truly is the Mack successor, or just gonna stay in Boise.

They better hope he is a better coach than the last 2 that came from Boise St.

Dirk Koetter and Dan Hawkins have been failures at schools that play a real schedule...

Yeah, cause Colorado with self imposed recruiting restrictions and no home talent base is the same as Texas A&M.

having male cheerleaders has to at least be equivalent to self imposed sanctions.

You are correct that Colorado doesn't have the same "bones" so to speak as A&M, but it worth noting. ASU is nothing to sneeze at either. The reality is that both Colorado and ASU have been as pertinent nationally as A&M in the last 20 years so I don't see where this comment is so out of left field.
I think it comes down to how Peterson adjusts to recruiting at a school where he is going to be expected to bring in the 4 and 5 stars every year.
My personal opinion is that he is a better coach than Koetter or Hawkins.

:rimshot:

No, CU limited on campus visits to 24 Hr, while the NCAA limit is 48.

Regardless, we are talking about individuals, where they coached before is not relevant to anyone but Boise haters. How Petersen does if he takes a bigger job will depend on him and not the fact he was at Boise previously. Plenty of guys have gone from small programs and done well, plenety have failed

Its out of left field for 2 reasons :

1) we are talking about individuals, so the coincidence that all were at the same school is meaningless. SEC snobs like to think the only reason they win at Boise is because they play "no body", yet no one can explain why other teams that play "no body" don't also win a bunch of games.

2) Petersen has done much better at Boise than either of those 2.
