You really believe they will pay LESS for a coach after burning 75 mil to run Jimbo off? Sure the AD said that but I would think on the eve of TX and OU joining and expansion of playoff..this is the time to out all chips in and get exactly the coach you want. Why hire a retread or young coach, then suck, then do it all again…

I wouldn’t rule out the Kirby discussion/price as a possibility. What would you do if you had the money? Try to save money on a gamble or put it all in or more of a lock choice..if you really have unlimited funds. You have the talent to make the playoff next friggin year

Use your head. Georgia has a lot of money. They’d match any offer. It may take double what Georgia is willing to pay to pry him from his alma mater. Just no.

I agree with this though, Georgia would match or come close and he would stay. With the playoff expansion and TX and OU coming in the cost of playing big boy in the SEC is going up.

He is already making almost a million dollars a year more than what A&M was paying Jimbo at a program where he already has a machine and from which both he and his wife graduated.

What possible incentive would he have to go to A&M or anywhere else?

Literally nothing. Athens also is a world class college town and College Station is probably the worst place I’ve ever visited.
