He's going to Utah.

Why would he leave the Eagles with the kind of skill they have on offense?

Logan could not survive in Baton Rouge... I was in Greenville, NC during his tenure at ECU. He is a Horses arse and was not successful.

I did... that's funny.

Chicken has created a monster with this site.

Nevermind. I see Chow is not an option.

I really don't think we will have a problem getting a good coach. Hell most coaches would be drooling over the oppurtunity to coach the current talent at LSU.

Are we interviewing one of Leach's disciples??

Not sure. Lincoln Riley is a guy a lot of people like.

I've seen people suggest Kliff Kingsbury too.

I think Leach's style would also translate well at LSU.

Is it typcial for the OC hiring process to go quickly or does this typically take some time. I've got to think they have been thinking about candidates before this week.

This is the position where i would want a young up and coming hungry coach. Not at the head coaching position.

I think anything diff at this point can be a plus.

Depends.

I imagine this is something Les has been prepping for for a while now... the public search just makes it a little easier to do interviews with whoever.

I suspect it will be resolved fairly quickly... but there's also no reason to hurry... so I'm not sure.

I haven't read everything in this thread in a while, but what do you think of Fridge, OBU? Is he truly worth it, or should we go with someone younger?

ETA: I think the chefs in BR are safer with Fridge not becoming the OC here, as has been said many times in different threads...

He'd be a fantastic hire, if he wants to coach. But he's like 63.. may just want to retire.

Agreed. Which makes me think that Gonzo is not going to get the job. Otherwise, Les would have announced it by now...Don't you think?

Excellent post. Mike Leech and any other outlandishly pass happy OC is nonsense, no chance. I like Billy Gonzales and Andy Ludwig alot.
