Say Nick retires after this year (he won't but just for purposes of this hypo say he does)...

Would you be happy if Les Miles became the next HC of Alabama? (and not just for the lulz...do you think he would do well, better than most any other candidate?)

Rather get a coach who isn't in his 60s, but I guess it isn't too bad if you think about it. He wouldn't be taking Alabama to the playoffs every year- or might not ever- but we'd have a good mix of 9-10 win seasons, sprinkled with a run to the SECCG. He's a good recruiter too.

He'd guarantee one more title with talent Saban leaves behind and probably blow a couple as well.

i'd like to see it happen just to see your reaction to having BDP or Cam Cameron on your staff.

Bama's interest: Absolute Zero.

Besides, when "mamma" calls...

His problem was never the talent, it always came down to coaching and his stubbornness. There aren't many mid-60 year olds coaching these days.

If Saban wasn't at Bama, Les has two more titles imo. 2011 and 2012.

Les stopped winning once Saban racked up years of better talent. He's not getting any younger but he'd easily have the most talent if it happened like in the OP. He'd prob at the bare minimum wen the sec west his first year.
