If Saban every leaves Bama, it will be for Penn State or Notre Dame. Maybe some other Big Ten school but Saban is staying in Bama. LSU and Bama are gonna be battling it out for years to come. Whether Miles or Saban wins this battle is yet to be seen.

I wouldn't put it past Nick to jump at $7 million though.

If it is just about money, I think we would match it to keep him.

How stupid would he have to be to leave Bama right now for a school like UW?

Very wishful thinking by some LSU fans.

Bama doesn't have that kind of money. Have you ever seen UW's endowment?? Remember (at least in this instance), SEC schools are in the minority in college football in the athletic departments completely funding the football programs. SEC schools (for the most part) have shitty endowments relative to other top-notch academic institutions around the country.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, I'm just telling you that the call has been made and a number has been thrown out there. I still only give it a 10% chance (if even that high) of it actually happening.

It may very well just be a PR stunt to get more money out of Alabama at a perfect time when he has Bama competing for a national title already and his stock is higher than ever there at the moment, if that's even possible.

When it happened it wasn't stupid at all. Hindsight in 20/20.

It was a professional opportunity that he had to take. The Miami Dolphins are one of the more prestigious NFL franchises. A college coach would have to be a moron to turn that job down.

And don't tell me you are comparing the Washington Huskies to the Miami Dolphins.

Sexton can get $$ a raise by playing the game. I don't think he leaves UA but I bet the gumps will have to pay more $$$$$$$.

Actually, Emmert is the system President ... he has more power at UW than he did at LSU ... and he is an alumni of UW, so he has even more incentive to get UW football back on track because not only is it good for him professionally, but he is also a lifelong fan.

That said, Chris Peterson will be their next coach IMHO.

I can't wait for the gumps to have to pay more and the sooner the better. They first tried to pay players now they got a hired gun as a coach. Love watching them buy it. Whether Saban stays or goes I hope he puts the screws to em. The only problem is a lot of coaches have clauses to match the highest paid coach if they win a NC. Of course that would mean that those coaches earned their salary based on merits performed at their respective schools. In any event its all crappy for college ball and creates all the more need for playoffs.

If you gumps don't think he won't leave alabama just because your alabama you gumps are stupider than I thought. He doesn't care about you or bama, the state or the school, he could give 2 shits less about any of it, it's all about the $$$$ signs, nothing more nothing less, tricky Nicky will leave bama, book it, just because your alabama doesn't mean shite to a man like that.

Emmert and Saban are very close, they have a great working relationship and friendship.
