I also remember telling a friend, who never watching anything but SEC games, that recruiting in the S and SEC vs WV or the midwest was my only concern.
Anyone care to tell me how good of a recruiter Les Miles was before he got to LSU? I feel confidant in saying that LSU made Les Miles a great recruiter and not the other way around.
He did what all great leaders do, if it's a weakness then hire somebody who has that as a strength. He knew how to recruit, he'd been battling MI and tOSU; he just hired the local connections he needed as needed.

My sources have not eliminate Mullen or Federoa. Nor have they eliminated THE DARK HORSE, Chis Klieman.
Random Thought (that we're not supposed to start threads with): IF UTx falters, reducing the chances of getting Herman, supposedly... why not go ahead and talk to Charlie Strong. He's fighting the left over poor recruiting/evaluation that Mack left and reversing the culture. I truly believe LSU was headed that way, but thankfully it didn't get that bad (especially the recruiting). FL and TX connections galore. I say he's a proven coach despite his recent W/L; W/L should be put in context anyway.

Kyle Whittingham, the head coach at Utah, would be a great hire if LSU doesn't land Jimbo or Herman
