Please don't think i am a USC/Pete Carol lover, but USC was terrible when he got there and he flipped it just as fast as Saban, Tressel, Stoops.... And with all the "the media hates LSU/Rivals lowers recruits *'s because they go to LSU" BS, having someone that carries himself like Pete would change things.

With all that said, i would still like to see Miles make a comeback next year and be our coach for many years.

I think we would go after Butch Davis over Tubby.

myers to nd (his dream job) after next season and saban to penn state. if les has a season like this year again then tubb's 80% probable.

I think a couple of things will happen: (A) The LSU administration will be patient with Miles (unless he gets caught fricking a cow in the barn) and even if he has a so-so year next year, he will still probably be around a year or two more after that; (B) If Miles has another so-so season or two, season tickets will be a lot easier to come by. Personally, I would like to see Miles succeed for the good of the school.

Saban will leave Alabama when we release him and not until.

I think the only even semi-realistic probability for this is if Miles wins another National Championship next year and decides to move on to the NFL. LSU's coaching search may or may not be the model of efficiency, so we could theoretically end up with Tuberville. I personally think we could do better, but we could also do a whole lot worse.

Of course, the odds are still way below 35% imo because there's less chance than that of Miles not being here in 2010.

Can you imagine what this board would have done to him for losing to a -- what was it, 40? -- point underdog, AT HOME?

as soon as I heard he was "taking a year off" I figured he's waiting to see what happens next year. I think he wants this job BAD.

I'm hoping Miles puts together a kick-arse staff and has a great year and all the nega-tigers throw up in their mouths. Tubby, too.
