Holy shite. They are really ramping up the marketing.

They just released a Logain trailer similar to the Shadowspawn one on Twitter/Insta. And it is fricking AWESOME.

I am feeling increasingly better about this show now, because the teaser to me was just ok.

frick yes - gotta be full trailer next week.

I agree about the trailer, I liked it a lot as a fan, but the lighting was weird, the costumes were really bright and and I was unsure about the trollocs - didn't know if it would land with casual fans who's only exposure is LOTR movies and GoT.

But that shadowspans stuff yesterday looked way better than I was hoping and the channeling in this clip looks a lot better than in the trailer IMO.

This is the only attitude to take if you want to enjoy any adaptation. It’s just too hard and expensive for a show/movie to portray every single thing a book contains. And with the sheer size of WOT…I’m glad Amazon is even trying.

I mean look what we got for Dark Tower.

They just posted another new thing on Insta:

A Behind the Scenes video of sorts with a TON of new footage, including Thom, Whitecloaks, Nynaeve and her braid in action, etc.

They are ramping up towards a full length trailer I would imagine tomorrow or Wednesday.

Looking better and better.

Adapting/condensing requires compromise that can be done without significantly altering the spirit of the original. Those are the kinds of changes I can good-naturedly bitch about.

It is the "improvement to bring into line with modern sensibilities" that may drive me away

It was always weird when Elayne starting hitting on some crusty old dude haha

But I'm really excited to see Thom in action. The actor is supposedly a great guitarist / musician

Huge new article from GQ about the show, with some great new shots:

I can't get the Whitecloaks picture to post here but I like it.

Here u go. Not sure if I like it. They are wearing robes instead of plate mail? Unless this is ceremonial garb.

Everyone else hates the Whitecloaks. I kind of like it. Yeah it’s different than the books but it’s interesting.

Ya I like them, not that I ever had a major attachment to the white cloak wardrobe outside if wanting the cloak to be white

I really expected a Trailer today as its now 30 days out from release and 60 days from the teaser. And there have been daily drops for several days now.

Doesn't seem to be one today. Maybe tomorrow before/during Thursday Night Football since its on Amazon.

They've had some minor tweets like that Rosamund Pike will be doing the voice narration for a new audio version of Eye of the World.

But nothing yet. I really expected it today with the timing coming up, past promotion and football game and whatnot.

Likely they won't just drop it but promote its drop through a media channel first, so I guess we will just wait and see.

As much as I love Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, the idea of Pike reading Eye of the World is very intriguing.

She did a fantastic job on the audible versions of Jane Austen.

I guess I can add this to the Andy Serkis readings of Hobbit and Lord of the Rings to my listen list.

I always imagined Thom Merrilin as John Carridine with the deep voice, bushy brows, long mustache and stooped shoulders. Jordons description described Carridine exactly and I’ve often wondered if he was Jordan’s model.
