Narg is starting to pretty consistently leak some photos again.
None of them are earth shattering. They are mostly just interior photos of sets like inside a home or tavern, but its good that things are starting to leak again as production picks back up.
There was a rumor awhile back that the teaser would be released today but that appears to be BS.

So Amazon Germany released a clip of the previously released Moiraine teaser,
Costume looks weirdly modern.... I remember her being big into fancy riding clothes. Or at least she was done up fancy for most cover art she appeared in.
we've scene glimpses of her "main" costume and it isn't modern.
The main speculation is that this is her "night" clothes as the attack on Winternight happens in the middle of the night.
Anyway, NEWS:
Season 2 will film from June 2021 until March 2022. Another long long shoot

Ya but it definitely is going to be different than her book clothes I think. Which I am fine with, different medium and will likely look way better on screen. I had always envisioned a sort of pale blue for the blue ajah for some reason - not sure if that is based in anything i read from the books or just how it popped into my head.

So much for the rumor that they have already started filming on season 2. I wonder if they had to re-shoot any of it since so much time had passed since they first started filming.
am I the only one who always pictured Moraine as being played by Mira Furlan, the actress who played Delenn on Babylon 5 (and always wore blue (or purplishblue), and exuded quiet confidence and power)?
I just read she died in January

So does anyone have an updated timeline in terms of the show actually dropping? Is it supposed to be by year's end or has it been pushed into next year?

Speculation is Fall or Winter. It’ll be in 2021. They are about to start filming S2 so.
I would expect a teaser within the next month, full trailer late summer, serious full on marketing blitz in early fall, release in November ish

S1 has officially wrapped. Rafe is doing a Q&A on instagram later today.
Last night, the WoT twitter revealed the cover of a script for S2 and quickly deleted it, I guess having jumped the gun.
Deadline revealed that S2 will start filming in June, so it looks like they have already jumped into pre-production for S2 and will start filming soon.
The title of S2 Episode 1 was revealed to be "A Taste of Solitude", which is a chapter title from Book 6, Lord of Chaos.

Full trailer next month hopefully
Here is a link to the summary of that chapter in Leigh Butler's reread
LINK /
It is the chapter when he sneaks off again from the maidens, much to their distress, this time to visit his new school and sees all of the neat inventions being worked up on, and visits the scholar Herid, the one who eventually discovers an important point in the prophecies that he is never able to relay to Rand before being killed. He is the one that wrote the note that Min uses as a bookmark, about her beauty being distracting.
If this is the pace of the show, they will probably wrap the whole thing up by the end of season 2. A little sarcastic, but still very disappointed that they are moving so quickly, assuming the title of the episode accurately reflects where they will have arrived in the story by the beginning of season 2.

Teaser Trailer would fit the timeline of other major Amazon shows if the release is indeed late November.
Then you would expect full trailer in September-ish and marketing blitz throughout October and November.
Rafe hasn’t said anything overly crazy.
He did answer my question which was cool.
What character that didn’t appear in 1 that does in S2 are you excited about?
“starts with EL”. So Elayne or Elaida.
Said they do have to do a lot of combing and adapting of books because the main cast would be 45 by the time they are done.
Said he was mad about the footage that got accidentally released because it was raw and not a good rep of the show or Trollocs which he’s really excited about.
Said most of the scripts for S2 are done.
Confirmed that the Warder cloaks likely won’t be color changing. Too expensive.
Episodes are mostly between 50-65 but there’s no set runtime.
They mapped out the entire series in the Covid break.
That’s pretty much it.

That would be very disappointing but I do not think that will be the case.
SPOILERS:
It seems like it would accurately reflect the theme of Rand being alone on the tower in Fal Dara after Eye of the World / Tarwins Gap and at beginning of Great Hunt, alone in terms of knowing that he is a channeler, considering running off on his own to protect his friends, etc.
This has been my idea for where season 1 will end for a while - I think last episode may be a wrap up and have Fain steal the horn. Sort of a real high point episode 2nd to last and then wrap up / set up next season conflict in the final episode like Game of Thrones would do.
They may just be mining episode names from chapter names without worrying about if the story in the episode lines up with that exact chapter.

I thought that was the case - trolloc looked really campy.
Also, mapping out entire series during COVID break is a good sign, used that time wisely and hopefully won't run themselves into a corner / have to drop storylines, etc.

This is obviously not the case. They are just mining chapter titles that reflect the scene they wrote. They obviously aren't going to have book 6 scene in Ep1 of season 2.
He did say that this is an ensemble show and that they are making a Wheel of Time show not an Eye of the World or Great Hunt show, so they have to keep then in mind when adapting.
And a lot of changes and condensing needs to occur for obvious reasons.
