She has been cast, a bit older than imagined and not how I pictured Min but seems to be a solid choice.
SPOILER RUMORS:
I think it is about 100% that Baerleon is out, so I am curious as to where Min will come in to the story. I feel like we could see here in like Whitebridge or something like that (instead of Baerleon), sort of combine some of what happens in Baerleon with another stop closer out of Emond's Field.
They also seem to be going to Tar Valon in lieu of Caemlyn so she could be there instead.
@ Fun Bunch, I just thought of something - maybe they meet / make friends with Min, and then Min knows Elayne in Tar Valon and so Elayne gets in with the other girls that way as opposed to it being Rand as the common connection. I know that Rafe wants to sort of focus more on the relationship between the 3 girls as opposed to just them with Rand so that could work in that sense.

Min likely doesn’t show up until Fal Dara though based on when her casting took place and when the actress showed up in Prague.

Always thought her showing up in Tar Valon with them studying her talents would make sense for the show if they cut out the early introduction.

On the subject of Rand and his romantic trio, has there been any confirmation of how the show is handling that? I know they said they were doing away with the stupid foursome romance, but what then? Are they picking one and going all in with her and Rand, or are they doing some weird one by one progression over the course of several seasons? Or maybe they de-emphasize Rand from a romantic standpoint and focus on Lan/Nynaeve or god forbid Perrin/Faile?
I feel like whatever choice they make has potentially big ramifications for future seasons.

The only indication we have had of that is Rafe said he is more interested in Polyamory over Polygamy, potentially meaning the girls will have romantic relationships among themselves, which makes a lot of sense for Aviendha and Elayne.
Faile will be a drastically changed character most likely. Rafe has said it is his least favorite character in the series and they will have to work on her.

So, Amazon just bought MGM.
It makes me wonder if a major purchase like that is helpful to WOT...giving them even more resources and way more eyeballs on Amazon Prime...
Or put more pressure to produce quickly given their investment in MGM?

Damn that is a massive purchase - can only be a good thing imo. Lots of existing infrastructure and marketing expertise

I've seen a lot of people mention it, but I have to believe that we will get SOMETHING during all of the Prime Day festivities. Looks like Amazon is going all out this year for Prime Days and is going to be promoting a ton of their content.
Rafe is on vacation right now from the show and it looks like they start he comes back a few days before Prime Day, and they start filming S2 right around that time as well...
It lines up. I think something relatively minor like announcement of the release timeframe with the logo and the briefest of teaser clips just to get into the general consciousness.

I doubt BS will say a whole lot. He hasn't been involved with the production much since very early on. I know he saw some early footage and read the scripts for the first 3 episodes. He made some comments like that he "liked it in general" but there were some controversial choices that he's interested in seeing how it plays out.
Even if he did have more info, he wouldn't give it due to NDAs.
