The Moor’s Last Sigh per a rec from this board. Took awhile to get used to his writing style; page length sentences with every form of punctuation included lol, but I’ve enjoyed it since the first page. Normally I have an idea of what an author is doing and how they are doing it, but this book... It takes all of my brain just to picture the imagery and keep up with the story. But those two are great in and of themselves.

The Food of a Younger Land : a portrait of American food--before the national highway system, before chain restaurants, and before frozen food, when the nation's food was seasonal, regional, and traditional--from the lost WPA files / Mark Kurlansky.

Very interesting story of the Depression-era Federal Writers' Program put in motion by the Works Progress Administration; which brought us a number of Lyle Saxon's Louisiana histories and others.

While still reading a collection of short stories from HP Lovecraft, I've also begun "Cod: A Biography of the Fish That Changed the World" by Mark Kurlansky.

Pretty interesting so far, and I haven't made it very far.
