It’s good but overly long. Some others here have posted about it. Some say it’s one of the best books they’ve ever read and some hated it. It’s pretty polarizing. I’m somewhere in the middle, I mainly think it could have been edited down some more but I’m definitely happy I read it.

Wanderer by Sterling Hayden. Autobiography. I found it watching sailing videos on YouTube and the guy had a book named Voyage in the background. I can't get that one on Kindle but I did get Wanderer. Good read, interesting character. I had never heard of him before but I have seen most of the movies he was in. He was an interesting person...took to the sea at 16, captained a voyage to Tahiti at 22 and eventually became a spy during WW2. Was assigned to work with communist partisans in Yugoslovia and joined the US Communist Party for about 7 months and eventually named names in the hearings. I have watched a few interviews with him and he is a really strange person. Voyage and Wanderer are the only books he ever published and both are widely acclaimed - I have no idea why Voyage isn't available for Kindle.
