But I'd never complain about it. It's a spoiler thread and if I see conversation about the more recent comics I just skip over those posts. But I'm a big boy and capable of such things.

this is sooooo hard for people in the non-reader thread

I don't get how they are saying that confirming they are cannibals is a spoiler. The show had food references and fileted bodies. What else are you supposed to think?

I love how tinkle is einkorn is saying the show follows the comic

About the only thing related is rick, Carl, the farm, the prison, the governor, and zombies. Everything else is different as far as when the actors die, how they assimilate to the group, actors in the show not in comics, hell everything.

I just don't understand why it has to devolve into personal attacks concerning me.

I'm done with it. There's plenty of evidence in the show to SPECULATE, that Terminus people are cannibals. Not even we readers can confirm that they are cannibals. I wasn't even 50% speculating the until I noticed the cage of entrails and the fact that they weren't killing Rick and company. Before the episode I looked on IMDb just to see if they had any insight on what actors were going to be in the episode and saw that Morgan was listed. I was thinking WTF? Morgan runs Terminus? Even saw the boxes with the wooden stakes outside the fences and thought that they were about to run into Morgan. I haven't been reading the spoilers posted in here so I truly didn't know.

Things that are different:

Sofia
Andrea
Daryl
Ben and Billy
Tyreese (He's a bitch in the show.)
Sasha
Merle
The Governor (The show one was more of an actual politician.)
Woodbury. (The show had it pretty fortified. In the comic they're still trying to put the thing together.)
The Prison. (The show had it with vulnerability, the comic is pretty fortified. At least against the roamer. Also the Governor only attacked once.)
Hershel (Was more of a hard arse in the comic.)
Abram seems older in the comic and much thicker. Plus this Abram is more worried about Eugene. Abram in the comic was just looking for a safe place and a lot more brutal.
Carl has made some strides to being more comic like but he's still softer that he should be.
Maggie hasn't even let the death of Hershel affect her. She seems stable.
Glenn is about the same.
Rick is JUST NOW becoming like the comic Rick.
Carol
Dale
What happened to farm.
Terminus? What the frick is a Terminus?
Beth
Bob
Michonne is a lot more open and not talking to herself or fricking the first guy she sees.
Tara
Shane
Otis
The prisoners

But Einkorn is right. It's the same.

Yes the details are different but you can't deny that the overall major plot points are very similar. And knowing what happens in the comics does give you a very good idea as to what is about to happen in the show. My point is why can't readers just stay out of the show threads?

I'd list the things that are the same but it would take entirely too long. And you've also got some "differences" on your list that are actually similarities.

Not really. I didn't have any idea how the second half of this season would go.

Readers didn't have a clue what terminus was until they saw the big grill and the creepy lady offering up some food... And even then they didn't know for sure until the end of last night's episode. If people are bitching about spoilers they just need to stay off the internet. Some readers speculate they might be cannibals, and all of a sudden they are throwing out spoilers. Readers were speculating just like non-readers, they just had an informed speculation.

But a reader knows that the idea of cannibals exist because of the GN knowledge. They know that more than likely cannibals will show up sooner or later.

A strictly show watcher has no idea that cannibals are even possible in this universe. Or cannibals may never cross their mind

You can't even Google walking dead without finding speculation about the cannibals. People who aren't willing to admit that are in a minority group no one wants to join...

The show is set in our universe. In our reality. Cannibals exist last I checked.

They are ruining it for themselves... either read the comics, or stay out of internet discussions... by putting themselves in the middle they are spoiling it for themselves.

Subtext: I got nothing.

First of all, are cannibals out in the world today? Then it's possible. And those that don't think so, are very naive.

Second, people in the episode thread a few weeks ago that were only show watchers speculated that Terminus might be cannibals.

Third, as I stated earlier, because of the location of Terminus, and it NOT being in the comic, we readers can not confirm that they are cannibals. Now that doesn't mean that we are exempt from speculating on the matter just because we decided to open up a book. Hell I didn't even buy into the speculation of cannibals until I saw the cage of entrails and the herding style of the Terminus people. I said early I was thinking Morgan ran Terminus.

So, are they cannibals? I'm 75% sure they are just because of the show's parallels and lack of crops and livestock they let us see. And they're mottoes they have written on the wall. That had nothing to do with my knowledge of the comic. The only time I have KNOWN or had any idea of what was going to happen, was when the Governor showed up at the prison for what was actually the third time (something that's not in the comic; he only showed up once) and had Hershel on his knees. I only knew right then and there that he would being getting a new hair cut.

Bro, right when Maggie and Glenn's group got to Terminus, a show watcher said they are cooking people. It happened real time, during the broadcast. Probably just being facetious, but the thought crossed their mind, none the less.
