I'm still trying to figure out how there could be a universe where cannibalism isn't possible. Seems like as long as some people are more brutal than other people it would always be possible for cannibals to exist.

That was just stupid of him to say. Overall, and obviously, the show and comic are in the same "universe". Anything in the comics can exist in the that universe and vice/versa.
ETA: I see his comment was about show only people and their "universe". Yeah, your point is more valid than mine.

What I mean is that cannibalism from other humans hasn't been a threat in the show. The threats have been zombies and other groups trying to kill them. So the cannibals would/should be a huge shock to watchers the same as it was to me and many others when they first read it

When I first read it it definitely wasn't something I was thinking would happen. That doesn't mean it was shocking to me. It made sense to me that some people would drift to the conclusion that hunting people is easier than hunting animals simply because people aren't expecting it.

Well, not much we can really do about it. I mean, every week it was the same thing. You have to pump the breaks sometimes and decide if what you are wanting to say is a spoiler. I tried to help out a little bit by saying that there were clues and parallels that could lead to the theory of cannibals, but I guess it didn't help. I mean honestly, there is still no telling if the "Termites" really are cannibals.
Some people on the Help Board were trying to drag gaetti15 into it, and I think that is unfair. I got a warning for posting a "fake spoiler" in the episode thread that was about SoA. After that I backed off, and really only posted answers to questions about the episodes after each episode was over. But oh well. It's six months to the next episode, so maybe if/when Libs comes back he'll think a little more about what he post.

Oh, I agree. Dude should have backed off. Coco jumped on him, but that wouldn't have been the first time. He should know better. I see you in the crackpot thread....you know from GoT that spoiler shite is taken serious. It should be. LA felt it was a witchhunt. I can't disagree with him. But he should have backed off.

I've never read the comics but honestly I can't get enough discussion of TWD right now... I have no dog in this fight but to be honest with you, I didn't put too much thought into the possibility of the termites being cannibals until coming into the non reader thread on here
but to be fair to everyone, if it wasn't so blown out of proportion by coco (who had a right to be kind of mad IMO) and liberty (who should have just left it alone), it wouldn't have been a 15+ page pissing match

A lot of truth in here. Something else I want to point out: earlier I said that I looked on IMDb before the episode aired and saw that Morgan was going to be in the episode. Of course he wasn't, but when the thread popped up Sunday I debated whether or not to post that information because it was not comic related but casting info. Of course I didn't because there is that line. Libs has problem with seeing that line and when he crosses it, he can't come asking anyone for help because he should know the rules of the board. When multiple people call you out on it, it's best just to delete the post and take a break.

Yeah, Liberty should have known better. He really argued against the spoiler rules early in the season and was told how it works here but he never let it go and kept trying to make the board conform to what he wanted.
He should have known that people like CoCo - who let's face it, looks for reason to bitch and bitch and BITCH about spoilers - were going to be on high alert and just looking for anything Liberty posted to jump on.
Both acted like fools and ruined the thread but Liberty got fair warning since the first episode of this season.
CoCo is the biggest spoiler pussy ever but Liberty had to know his posts were going to be scrutinized with his history.
There's a reason I can post in the non-comic thread multiple times and no one has ever gotten pissy with me even though I have read the comics and have read early episode spoiler synopsis - because I know where the line is and I don't cross it.
But anyone saying that the cannibal speculation is only around because of comic readers using their knowledge of the comics is an idiot I can't be bothered with. Plenty of non-readers were speculating that Terminus was cannibalistic prior to the finale. And the finale just pushed the cannibal foreshadowing even further.
TL;DR - Liberty deserved to be banned and CoCo is a hysterical little girl about "spoilers". Anyone who can't see the Terminus=cannibals foreshadowing is dumber than Vince Young.
