I'm in Suneater. I'm assuming, from reading the main series, that there are novellas. There are considerable gaps between the books with references to battles/incidents that have occurred between the books that, I assume, are covered in the novellas.

And man... that first book is a slog. Then it really starts to pick up.

Most sun eater fans will vote howling dark and demon in white as the best, although I like simple origin stories so empire and kingdoms of death(dark!) were up there for me. The novellas are for the most part good and best read in order of the series. I have only yet to read tales of sun eater

My favorite sci-fi books: 'Dune,' 'Annihilation,' '1984,' 'Three Body Problem'. In college I wrote an essay about best sci fi books. Thanks to this writing service mastersthesiswriting.com I got the highest score i the class. They are professionals in writing and proofreading. Useful tool for students

Peter F. Hamilton's Night's Dawn trilogy is very good. (Maybe more space opera fantasy than true sci-fi if you're a purist.) Satanists in a technically advanced future open a portal to hell and the souls of the damned come through in hordes and possess living bodies. That's right, Al Capone takes over space.

Footfall for something really weird and Lucifer’s Hammer that is more mainstream. Both by the duo of David Pournelle and Larry Niven.

All systems red was good but too short for my liking. I was kind of surprised. Probably about 1 hour of reading. I don't think I will continue.
