Randy Mcwilson's four book Back to Normal series was pretty good.

Time and Again by Jack Finney. He also wrote invasion of the body snatchers.

Guy travels back from NYC modern times (1970’s when book was written) to the 1880’s. It’s an immersive story really capturing his sense of wonder at truly arriving in the past. It is even illustrated with photos and drawings the protagonist made while in the past.

Solid story as he solves a mystery from the future. Might be my all time favorite book.

There was one recommendation here some time ago about someone that traveled back in time to the founding fathers. Anyone know the title?

ETA found it... What If They Knew

michio kaku has some awesome books. I’m sure he has one dedicated to time travel, but a lot of his books at least touch the topic in a satisfactory way.

Dark Matter by Blake Couch but that is more of an alternate universe
Recursion by Blake Crouch would be the correct choice for Time Travel

“the Sound of Thunder” by Bradbury is a must-read of the genre. Very short short story.

I would say the same of “All You Zombies” by Heinlein.

Bradbury's Sounds of Thunder is a really wonderful story. I generally like the way Bradbury writes. This is not to be confused with anything. I recently wrote a creative work based on one of his stories. it was hard work. And I had to turn to the best UK proofreading services LINK / for help I found. I really liked the result, and it inspired me to try to write my own stories on a similar topic.

All You Need Is Kill, light novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. This is the book that was the basis for the screenplay for Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise.

I will third this recommendation. Her Gameshouse trilogy of novellas are fantastic also.

I would also second the recommendation for Dark, I can't think of a book on time travel better written than the script was for Dark (or really many books at all).

Of course there's also Slaughterhouse Five and A Wrinkle in Time as well.

Time Ships by Stephen Baxter is a sequel/update on H.G. Wells Time Machine. It is phenomenal. Captures the feel of the original. Updates the science to modern theories.
