Just got it in. It’s longer than I expected, I think it’s more than 700 pages

Admittedly, I’m not a strong reader (yet), and I’m wondering what’s the difficulty here? I really don’t want to start it if it’s too difficult and I’ll lose interest

If the consensus is that it’s too advanced, maybe I’ll shelve it till I’m stronger. Would love some feedback

Read it.

Here is my Vincent Bugliosi story.

I attended a convention in Biloxi some years ago when he was promoting his OJ book. He was our featured guest. He gave speeches to us and hung around at our functions. Great guy but very serious and formal.

The last day of the convention was a Saturday It was in April but the temperature was pushing 90 degrees. We had an outdoor crawfish boil by the hotel pool. Vincent showed up in a suit. He took one look at the crawfish and acted like he wouldn’t touch them with a 10 foot pole.
We taught him how to peel the crawfish and he gamely ate a few.

Nice guy and a great attorney and author.

Read it years ago, I didn't remember it being that long though.

What does the length of a book having to do with being hard to read?

I’ve always been interested in that story. I think I started reading about Manson and the Tate murders after learning that Steve McQueen started carrying a gun because he was on one of the “Family” lists.

I think that it was one of the best books that I've ever read. I've tried to read Tom O'Neill's book on Manson several times and can't get past the first couple of chapters.

Mostly, because the writer seems so jealous of Bugliosi's book.
