Tao Te Ching by Leo tzu. Tons of different translations. Read reviews to find the best
Obstacle is The Way by Ryan Holiday (based on stoic philosophy. Good intro to stoicism)
On the Shortness of Life by Seneca. Currently reading now

Planning to read Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy next year.
Hoping it covers introductions to most concepts.

That is an excellent choice. I also suggest Philosophy of Law by Feinberg Gross.

It depends on what you want. If you want something practical, the Stoics are a good choice. I often turn to Montaigne when there is a bit of turmoil in my life.

The Tao of Pooh.
The Book of the Five Rings.
Art of War.
All are kind of philosophy, though perhaps not in the sense you mean. Also The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress for a far more enjoyable take on Utopia than Saint Sir Thomas More's.
