I just finished #3 and I didn’t care for it at all. The trains and shite was so confusing and I basically glazed over a bunch of that
Hoping #4 is better

The iron tangle is a bit confusing. It took me a couple of reads to finally get it. The gate of the feral gods can be confusing as well.

Easily the weakest book in the series, imo. I still enjoyed it overall, but I didn't care for the train system as a level.

I'm a third of the way through book 3. I'm enjoying it so far.
I just finished the chapter where they're on the Dismemberment Limited; the train with the War Mage and the Fleshers.

I have maybe 100-150 pages left in #3 and it's my least favorite for sure. I'm still enjoying it but I agree the train system is a bit much. At first I'd go back and read a paragraph or two to try and get it in my head but now I'm just reading it and not worrying about trying to understand it/picture it in my head. It is what it is I guess.
It's much more comical that pretty much any other series I've read but even the comedy in #3 seems to be less.
Though the Hekla stuff was pretty bad arse and was a great read. Should have been asleep but couldn't put it down.
On goodreads #3 has the lowest star rating of any of the books.
