I thought about that plot line and I see one problem with it. Robert Strong has to win, Cersei is to die at the hands of her brother, can't happen if Strong loses.

Meh. Tyrion didn't die did he? Tywin did. And why? Because Jaime made all of that happen.

So, Robert Strong loses, Cersei is condemned to death and Jaime carries it out? (Or he can get access to her cell and strangle her, no?) Not the craziest thing to have happened so far, right?

ETA: And reading a little on the Trial by Seven - where you pit 7 against 7, instead of one on one - very rare. However, what about the rule that a member of the Royal family must be defended by the Kingsguard? If that is valid in a Trial by Seven, does that mean the entire Kingsguard will have to defend Cersei? And die to prove her guilty?

That seems extreme. But he put it in there for a reason.

"And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

The Valonqar, not Your Valonqar. Sandor is Robert Strong's little brother.

You would be one of the few. I'm almost as certain that the Gravedigger is Sandor as I am the R+L=JS. It's pretty much spelled out in Feast.

I believe the grave digger is sandor, but could you point to where in the books it talks about him I wan tot re-read that portion and convince my brother that its him.

Excellent point - excellent distinction. Almost lines up perfectly with my (and may others') trial by combat theory.

Valonquar just means "little brother." It doesn't have to be her little brother. She's so convinced that it will be Tyrion that it almost certainly won't be.

Plus, she has to lose all of her children first, and they all have to have worn crowns, so it won't happen until after the Sand Bitches make Myrcella queen in Dorne.

Tommen would have been a good candidate if not for the above requirements. If Cersei's champion loses, he'd be the one to condemn her to death, and hanging is death by strangulation.

Check out Boiled Leather - A Feast for Dragons. Since Feast and Dance cover the same time periods, you can merge the two together and get more continuity out of the story. Plus it helps break up the monotony of some of the Brienne and Dany chapters.

Can't this also be interpreted as meaning their hair will all be Lannister blonde, as opposed to Baratheon black? I agree with you, I think Myrcella will be crowned and will die, and Cersei will learn of her death right before she herself is killed, just pointing it out for argument's sake.

I'm just now realizing that they are going to marry Myrcella to Aegon. Kill Cersei and Tommen, inherit Lannister fortune and armies. Die when the real war breaks out.

I interpreted is as that Lannister gold hair will be the death of them.

Good point. I'd have also suspected Myrcella as being the younger, prettier queen (taking KL and deposing her before being killed) but that's a hard sell now that she has no ear. It has to be either Dany or Smirky

Martin really does seem to love mutilating pretty people. Myrcella, Jaime, Blue Bard, Pia. Fat guy complex, I guess.

Agree

I'm also pissed that ther will apparently be no Val. I pictured her being freakishly hot, kind of a rugged Peta Wilson type.

Think of all the younger brothers that might apply to Cersei:

Jaime

Tyrion

Stannis

Sandor

Loras

Aegon

John Snow

Bran

Freakin' Rickon

Red Viper (yeah he's dead, but that kind of sent some things into motion)

Even Tommen - Joffrey was always hers, Tommen was more a creature of the courtiers

Blackfish

I think it could mean any younger brother, but to make it more well rounded you use Sandor. Not only is he the little brother, but he will ultimately "kill" Cersei by defeating his older brother in single combat. It's an extra layer that make it more profound than any other 2nd son.
