LNST vibe was more what I was going for with just the idea, and keeping most of the big posts here. Plus they limit your words, so we couldn't go into that much depth with this.

So basically all of the hard/wet-legging could happen on the backchannel and keep this thread clear of all that nonsense?

I'm all for it.

No one has emailed me a phone number, so I'm guessing not too many people are on board.

I have always thought that the Horn of Winter (aka Joramun) would literally destroy the Wall due to collapse.

quote:

“Would that I had the Horn of Joramun I’d give it a nice toot and we’d climb through the rubble.” - Tormund Giantsbane, to Jon Snow

According to Legend, the Horn of Winter can awaken sleeping giants and bring down the Wall. The waking of sleeping giants is not taken to be literal, so why do we always take the second part to be so? Therefore, to "bring down the Wall" is to conquer it.

So my Crackpot theory in all this is that Dragonbinder is also the Horn of Winter. And because men who blow the horn are killed, who better to eventually take possession of the horn than a resurrected, non-living, non-breathing, possible wight with frozen lungs, Jon Snow.

It seems like most male child stars do.

He's also 15 so he's still in that awkward looking phase.

Why would he think the Rachel Maddow look was a good idea?

I have always assumed that the Horn of Winter is the horn that Ghost found and is currently in Sam's possession. I also have a crazy theory that the Tarlys' sigil, The lone Striding Huntsman, and their ancestral sword's name, Heartsbane are both important. Both put me in mind of the story of the Long Winter, and the final Hero concluding his hunt alone after all his entourage have been killed. Heartsbane sounds like a good name for a sword that was forged by killing the women you love.
