Wheel of time is too much of an investment. Like 12000 pages worth of content. Aint nobody got time for that.

Have you read Wheel of Time??

My friend told me the story gets really boring at times/drags on. I'm interested in what she'll say once she finishes ADWD and WoT. Most people I know say that ASOIAF is better and that it's not even close.

I attempted to read LOTR when I was 13/14ish...yeah that didn't work out . I honestly don't think I could get into Tolkien, even now in my 20s. His world is too much 'fantasy' for me...ASOIAF is the right mix IMO and I like the grey characters and 'realness' that it has compared to other fantasy series.

It only took like 3-4 months for WoT's 14 books. It does get a little slow at times, there are 14 of them, but each book had it's fair share of bright spots. No way I could take on another series right now. It took me out of my Song of Ice and Fire mindset and it's like I can't get my crackpot going anymore. I will not read aSoIaF for the 4th time, I will not read aSoIaF for the 4th time, I will not read aSoIaF for the 4th time...

Lena Headey downsizes after her divorce; old and new home pictures

It amazes me how ridiculously expensive it is to live in Los Angeles...if I were Lena I'd just have a condo there and a nicer homer elsewhere...

All the talk about Melisandre's shadow babies in the other threads got me thinking.

Mel needs life force through sexual intercourse to birth the shadow babies (I think).

Tyrion has been propecized (by a red priest no less) as a small man who cast a very large shadow.

Maybe Tyrion and Mel hook up and produce some sort of super shadow creature.

Hey, it could happen.

I've been reading the Jack Reacher books over the past few months...it's not ASOIAF but it's pretty entertaining.

There is no shame in Lena downsizing, but she's going to have to put some work into the house by getting rid of the green 80s carpet, wallpaper, and wood paneling which is going to cost some $$$. I have to give her kidos for living within her means, especially since her ex was a "musician" aka not employed...so she's probably fully supporting her son/not receiving child support payments.

Maybe one of you lovely men could go win her heart, give her some $upport, and in exchange post GoT set pics and pics hanging out with the cast??
