Map to get to Blackfyre, which is hidden somewhere in Old Valyria

I'm thinking it's something bigger than Blackfyre. Blackfyre doesn't do much good for Littlefinger on his own. Gives him a big bargaining chip but I think he wants to go bigger than that.

Wasn't serious
I hope I'm not coming off as a lout with some of my not serious theories.

The more I think about it the more I wonder if there isn't something ON the tapestries instead of wrapped in them. Tapestries, especially royal ones, tend to tell a story or portray a scene. Maybe it has the location of something Littlefinger is looking for? I can't imagine Littlefinger letting something significant like a sword just sit wrapped in a tapestry and then request it from Ceresi at the risk that she or someone else might see what's wrapped in it.
I think this is more likely than having something wrapped up in the tapestries. There is a big risk that somebody would notice that there was something in them.
It is kinda odd that nobody knows where two of the more famous Valyrian swords are at.

Perhaps LF plans to present these tapestries as a gift to Dany to show he's on her side

Yeah. Apparently, Westeros is loaded with ancient Valyerian swords that were welded by Heros and may or may not be magical.
And they lost every single frickin' cool one.
Ned: "I have come here to Starfall to return Dawn."
Lord Dayne: "Be so kind as to roll it up in that tapestry with instructions on how to tame a dragon and toss it in an empty chest. We will assign it to a new owner after we have tested every Dayne baby in the realm to see which one remembers these three toys from a previous life."

So I'm convinced we need to do a group reread of the books at some point on here.
Count me in. I'd definately follow along and contribute (some crazy azz ideas) if someone will lead a crackpipe bookclub.
Also,
You guys got me curious about the whereabouts of the great Valerian Steel swords. So, here is what we know:
Lost Swords (affiliated house)
Blackfyre (Targ)
Dark Sister (Targ)
Brightroar (Lannister)
Ice (Stark, formerly)
Known Swords
Heartsbane (Tarly)
Lady Forlorn (Corbray)
Longclaw (Mormont, given to Jon)
Nightfall (Harlaw)
Red Rain (Drumm)
Oathkeeper (Lannister, given to Brienne)
Widow's Wail (Lannister)
Needle (Stark)
I found it interesting that the three principle houses of ASOIAF have all lost their ancestral Valyrian swords: Targ, Lannister, and Stark.
ETA: I can't wait for someone to point out that I didn't list Dawn and Lightbringer...

You didn't list Dawn you bastard.
Posted on 9/9/12 at 9:34 pm to BluegrassBelle
Dawn was made from a "darkstar" and will soon be welded by the next Sword of the Morning, Aegon VI.

So Carson, Jrod, and myself are down for a group reread.
auyushu is busy speaking blasphemy about other books.
Anyone else interested? Just gauging interest right now.

Ice was broken down into Oathkeeper and Widow's Wail per Tywin.

Exactly.
Needle isnt a valarian sword and Ice was turned into the two swords Tywin had made.
Question that may have been answered - Why would Tywin make two swords out of Ice, rather than re-forge it into another Great Sword?

He's a Lannister who lost his Valyrian sword and couldn't buy one for many years. I'm sure it was a constant disgrace in his eyes as lesser houses had them in their possession. So he gives one to his grandson the king, and the other to his son, captain of the Kingsguard. One day he has none, the next he has more of them than any other house.

That's why he listed Ice as formerly of the Stark household and as a "lost" sword. We still know about it, it's just broken down now as you said.
As far as why Tywin did it that way, my guess is also that he was over compensating. He didn't want to offend Joffrey as King by not giving him one and giving one to Jaime. And we all know how he felt about Tyrion otherwise he probably would've made three. He wanted to ensure a Lannister would always have a Valyrian steel sword.
